Better late than never

I’m overdue in calling to your attention Joshua Lim’s article at Called to Communion, in which he describes his conversion to the Catholic Church. I commend it to you. Joshua’s story resonates with me in how it parallels my own, but you should certainly read it for yourself.

  1. Very well written! That was exactly my thought process, too. I found it increasingly difficult that my small sect, whether it be the OPC or Shepherd’s Chapel or Living Word, possessed the full deposit of faith and truth. My story is more of reversion than conversion. I want to say that the work God began in me as a baptized Catholic did not return void. I am that lost sheep who was found in the parable and the prodigal son. It feels so good to be home.

    Amen. :-)

I think that Baptism’s effects are more profound than Protestants would ever be willing to admit.
