I must say that I was a bit skeptical about this book when I started reading it, fearing that it would amount to something like a Catholic pop-manhood manual. But it has so far been much better than I expected, with an emphasis not upon grunting or scratching or manly hugging and crying but rather upon the Catholic man’s life before God.
