Mr. Know-It-All doesn’t care about what people are trying to tell him, and if he bothers to listen at all it is only so that he can point out the mistakes in what they have said. To actually pay attention to their arguments when they contradict him would be a ludicrous waste of his time, since their arguments are wrong to start with.
